I was reading Vogue again and I found this picture striking! I noticed how the shadows fell on the models face and wanted to challenge myself and see if I could create that realistic effect that the sunlight was gently falling over her face.

Obviously it looks very different as I have scanned this in through the computer. In my opinion it looks much better on paper.

I was looking for something to draw and came across an old vogue magazine. I picked up a pen and started to sketch...

Unfortunately the scanner has not produced it exactly as it does on paper.

In August, 2012, I'm made a major move to London, to discover myself as an artist and as a person. I have started this blog to help me in my Visual Art and Design course at the BRIT school.
